Erwin @ Bunche Beach

She was banded as a chick on June 16, 2011 at a lakeshore housing development in Dodge County near North Bend, Nebraska. This summer (2015) she was nesting at a sand and gravel mine near Ashland, NE. She laid five eggs, and all successfully hatched. A PBS affiliate in Nebraska is doing a story on the Piping Plovers and interior Least Terns from the Platte Basin. Erwin is their "main character" highlighting conservation efforts.
